Me and my group of friends decided to explore the wonders of Sikkim about 3 years ago and due to the complexity to enter certain places such as the RAP zone and the various permits it required, we decided to engage a local tour. Thankfully we met Mr Tamding Bhutia through his website. He clearly understands our needs and tries to arrange all permits before hand despite all the red tapes involved so that we would not waste much time on procedures. He would only hire the drivers that drives properly and asks the hoteliers to prepare a better meal up front even we didn't specifically asked him to. Some other small touches include our short trip to Lachung where we visited one of the local houses and asked for Chang a local beer of sorts. Something that we would not have expected. Overall I would highly recommend Mr Tamding to anyone who is keen to see the rarely seem side of Sikkim as this is his homeland after all. I'll be engaging him on another tour next year. Dear sir or madam, My wife and I made a trip from Darjeeling via Pelling, Yuksom, Gangtok and Kalimpong. We enjoyed it very much. Our guide Nyima accompanied this tour very professionally. On March 2014 we went to Darjeeling and Sikkim with Dimsum. We travelled with three persons a guide Mr. Nyima and a driver. The journey was excellent organised and we had a wonderful time. Ladakh Tour: We had the best times at Leh. Mr Tamding had organized some of the best hotels we stayed. As our journey is near winter, it was rather cold but thanks to the arrangements we didn't turn into popcicles. Probably could have some improvements to avoid hotel dinner at night. Having 6 nights at same hotel buffet can be quite stale. The Aryan village home stay should be further promoted. I believe it can be a wonderful place to go.

He is a wonderful guide and has helped us very much to understand Sikkim and its complexities. He was very resourceful and patient and has a great sense of humor.
